Race report by Mike Gosvig
Danish Nationals round 1 was held in MMRC RC club Tollose, the track is a permanent track and its nice high speed flowing, the traction was changing all the time because of the low temperatures on the track!

On Saturday we arrived and a lot of drivers attended on this days practice. I came with my basic setup and I could together with my team mates make a good setup for everybody, the track was hard to drive, as you needed to go close to the track markers and if you get to close the cars will grip roll.

My XRAY T4'16 was super-fast and I TQ + won the race in style, car was super-fast and easy, and had a ton of steering. The new Floating Steering was perfect for this track, it helped a lot with the bumps and I could drive the fast line on the curbs to get the best lap times!

I also made track record on a single lap time and 5minutes run, the T4'16 was on fire!

Also our Young drivers were super-fast in the practice, Jack Holger Soresen, Stefan Finnich, Kevin Nielsen and Patrick Danielsen.

Sunday was the race day, I picked up Jack Holger and we was on the track at 7.30 in the morning. There we had two counted practice heat. After the practice we had 3 qualifiers, and I won 2 out of 3 TQ's because in the first round the tires was picking up some carpet on the tires so the car was sliding around, I hit a curb and lost 5 seconds. In this round it was Steven who took the 1 spot and Stefan Finnich made a good run to go 2nd in this round. The difference between Steven and Stefan was only 1 tenth!

In the second round I Took the TQ with 5 seconds to Steven and Casper in 3rd.
And the last round I Again took the TQ with 6 seconds this time with Casper in 2nd and Frederik in 3rd.

Jack Holger Sorensen have had a pause in the Touring car catagori, but this time was back in the game, and made the a-main in the 8 spot. Super good come back, unfortunately Patrick Danielsen had a tough last round and was 9th just missed out the A-main after some bad luck in the last qualification...

The A-main grid:
1. Mike Gosvig - XRAY T4'16

2. Steven Olsen
3. Casper Morgan
4. Frederik Brolos
5. Lars Stub-Holm
6. Stefan Finnich - XRAY T4'16
7. Pelle Culmsee

First final:
I got a good start and could pull away easy with 1-3 tenth per lap.
Steven had Casper right behind him and Casper was trying everything to overtake Steven, but Casper made a mistake in the chicane end of the straight.
But this was a good change for XRAY’s Stefan Finnich who now could fight with Frederik Brolos for the 3rd spot. Frederik Pulled away up to Steven and finished 3rd only 3 tenth apart! Stefan finished 4th and Jack in the 7th. - I won this final with 7 seconds.

Second final:
My car was on rails, super easy to drive, and I could Again pull away from the field, and again Steven and Casper had a nice battle, until Casper made a mistake, this would let Stefan to get by Casper and now would try to follow Steven, at the end of the main Stefan could hold on the 3rd place with pressure from Pelle Culmsee from behind, it was a very close race from 2 to 6.

I waited behind the cars and would not lap them so I could destroy their race. I won the race in the end and this main with 10 seconds.

Third final:
I decided to test the ECS 50mm Axels in the rear to get more free rear end, this was very good on this track, the car felt very good, and I again pulled away.

Steven looked like he was in control but made a mistake one of last laps, this allowed Casper to go to 2nd this time with no mistakes, Frederik was 2 tenth behind Casper when the race ended. Steven would go to 4th after his mistake. I made my fastest final run, and with the ECS in rear the car was super good, I could win with 8,7 seconds this time.

Patrick Danielsen also did a good job and won the B-main, he made super-fast lap times, but was unlucky in the qualys! He had some awesome battles with Soren Boy Holst in the B-main.
Thanks to the team for the good teamwork and good job to everybody for a nice weekend in the good atmosphere in MMRC Club!
